New P&G packaging could help clean up beaches

Procter & Gamble Co. plans to use plastic that washes up on beaches to make bottles of dishwashing soap. It’s part of an effort to raise awareness of what can be done to prevent waste from reaching the ocean as well as demonstrate P&G’s commitment to manufacturing with recycled plastic. The Cincinnati-based maker of consumer goods such as Fairy dishwashing soap (NYSE: PG) said bottles made from a combination of post-consumer recycled plastic and ocean plastic would be available to buy in 2018…
